The Conversation Starts Here
The Canada School of Public Service has established an Indigenous Learning business line and team in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Call to Action #57 and the Government of Canada’s priority to renew relationships with First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples. Learning about Indigenous Peoples at the School is informed by the recommendations from the report Many Voices One Mind: A Pathway to Reconciliation, as well as by the Ministers’ mandate letters and the need to provide Indigenous perspectives in learning products and services to government departments. Indigenous Learning provides opportunities for individuals to increase their cultural competence and awareness of First Nations, Métis and Inuit in Canada. It also offers public service–wide access to learning that will help develop a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultures, history and modern-day issues.
